If you’re a lover of French fashion, or even historically renown architecture, you can now wear a piece of the culture’s heart in the palm of your hand. The new limited edition Eiffel Tower Clutch by Timmy Woods looks just like a mini version of the world famous tower which sits in the heart of the fashion world, Paris, France. I couldn’t believe my eyes when when I came across this clutch. I mean, I’m really not even sure which words I’d use to describe how this looks on someone. I’m sort of stuck between uinique-looking or just plain tacky…

Personally, I wouldn’t wear this limited edition piece. Though I do admire Woods’ artistic creation and how he incorporated architecture with fashion. I think this miniaturized take on Paris’ landmark clearly and cleverly ties into fashion since the city and it’s designers are a major part of the industry. And as for the clutch itself, it is made of light weight acacia wood and even comes with a silky bengaline strap so you can carry the mini-Eiffel over your shoulder. And despite it’s inconsistent shape (for a clutch, that is), it has enough room to hold credit cards, money, lipstick and even features an interior pocket for your cell. But overall, I think this limited edition piece is fit for a spot on a shelf or in a case with all of the other collector’s pieces.

Fresh in the news: Dooney & Bourke wins ruling in the multicolore bag battle with Louis Vuitton.

WWD reports that a Manhattan federal judge has ruled in favor of Dooney & Bourke in a four-year trademark battle with Louis Vuitton.

U.S. District Court Judge Shira Scheindlin said Dooney & Bourke’s “It Bag” monogram design did not infringe on Vuitton’s Monograme Multicolore handbag collection.

I’ve resisted posting about this bag because I knew it was destined to show up in the sale section.. it was just a matter of time. I’m not calling this bag ugly, I actually think it’s rather lovely in this blush pink version as compared to its twin versions available in black or dark brown.

This last season art deco style bag appeared on the fall 2007 runway. So now that it’s mid-winter Barneys is making way for all the colorful new spring 2008 purses. Out with the old and in with the new. Which is great news for you MJ fans who don’t care if its last season’s style.

The stunning Monica Bellucci recently popped up on our “celebrities with designer handbags” radar sporting the daily essential Longchamp Expandable Leather Bag while on the set of her new movie ‘Ne te retourne pas’ in Lecce, Italy over the weekend.

The Gorgeous Italian actress/model was the recent covergirl for French jeweler and watchmaker Cartier and also for luxury designer house Dior.

The bag she is carrying is Longchamp’s new simple expandable, a great daily purse. It features a soft pebbled leather body with stud silver accents and the duo side zippers even allow for additional room – just zip down for some extra breathing room. The color she is carrying is called Fox brown and unfortunately I couldn’t locate that bag online (try calling Lonchamp 888.828.8081). However, saks has the lovely white version available.
